global context
There has been a great improvement in health care since the 1950's however there are still a great amount of problems that people around the world face everyday. We are in the 21st century and people are still dying for lack of general check ups. 36 million deaths occur due to health check up neglect, all thee deaths were preventable but weren't diagnosed in time for a curable treatment. One billion people are not medically covered. "Over 7.5 million children under the age of 5 die from malnutrition and mostly preventable diseases, each year." All over the world there are people who turn to spiritual remedies or natural medicine but realistically speaking the only legit and proven way to get cured is with certified medication and treatment.(Shah, A.2014, January 5)
Developed countries provide free health care but world wide health care is not granted to everyone. "Nearly the entire developed world is colored, from Europe to the Asian powerhouses to South America's southern cone to the Anglophone states of Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. The only developed outliers are a few still-troubled Balkan states, the Soviet-style autocracy of Belarus, and the U.S. of A., the richest nation in the world."Fisher, M. (2012, June 28)
